1 year, 1.5 hours weekly meetings, countless time researching, analyzing and drawing conclusions all boiling down to a 45 minute presentation and Q&A. What remains is a report that I am proud to put my name on.
First and foremost, this is due to an outstanding team of most capable people with diverse backgrounds, but one commonality, how we enjoyed working together - cheers to our leader Fabien Dumont, sponsor Austin, GM Ellen, CFO George, AI Jennifer Pan, and supreme writer Peiyi Han.
Secondly, our most supportive mentor Shameen Prashantham, tirelessly accompanying our work, challenging us and giving sharp suggestions only possible given his breath of experience as a longtime strategy professor in China. Likewise our gratitude to China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) for the support, namely our most dedicated director Bala Ramasamy, Eric Bouteiller and alumni Vincent Lui (the judge panel, who, with objective wisdom, still gave us additional homework) and evidently the CEIBS Global Executive MBA Programme, namely our dear class managers Yuqi Wei and Sarah Yujie Liu.
Finally, it was exhilarating as interesting to undertake a strategy consulting project with a family-owned German company, with over a century of history of providing quality and innovative coating solutions, but like many MNCs in China facing a tough competitive environment. The openness of the company and the project sponsor permitted a deep dive into the problem statement and constant communication to craft our final proposal. After this, I am quite confident of the enduring success of PETER/LACKE Group!
